The Red White and Blue ... and Green

Aloha,
Here is a little taste of sunshine for you! This morning-light photo can evoke an emotion. Writers also evoke emotions in their written text. Let's write with emotion today!
          Enjoy!

                        Cliff Puppy

I saw the news today Oh boy
About a little pup who had gone astray
And found the open arms of humankind
A happy day for a puppy, once upon a time

I was throwing a party and watching TV too
When "throwing a puppy..." came into view
Was that off a cliff and into a ravine?
Hey, that's no U.S. Marine

"Nonjudicial" "unspecified," is now the latest word
But can that little pup be continually heard?
While duty, honor, and compassion make us all proud
There's a little faint yelping still echoing loud

Since those looks and lewd act have come into view
It's my turn now to personally eschew
Have we lost our sense, once held so dear?
"Duty Honor Compassion," cliff puppy stand sentry there

Forces of Nature

Aloha,
Here is a wave shot on Oahu's exciting North Shore. We don't actually "see" the force of gravity, but we can see the effects of the "forces at play" in the wave, its white water, and ocean spray. Writers can add more stirring force to their fiction with the "push and pull"of intriguing dialogue. Let's write with that in mind today.             Enjoy!

 My Heart is Your Ocean

Hands of love reach out to me
At times so very hard to see
Down the path sultry moon
Beams on the water sunny soon

My heart is your ocean by night and by day
Cool waters run deep under life's fray
Simple words go got game come away
My heart is your ocean field of play

Sites of my life sprawls of highway
Dangerous turn below hazardous bay
Negotiate slow thoughtful with care
My heart is your ocean you can go there

So many smiles this sweet life to roam
So many miles then finally home
Soft bay into view with its final dare
My heart is your ocean I'll see you there

Dream Wave

Aloha,
This inviting wave was shot at Sunset Beach, Hawaii. Surfers believe this beach offers some of the best waves in the world. In the winter months, surfers arrive here from all over the world to catch their "dream wave." Writers can catch their own dream wave every day of the year by simply writing ...so inviting!                         Enjoy!

Vacation Girl

Baffling little twists look with every turn
Extraordinary elegance heroics to burn
Dramatically delicate eyes for effect
Stunningly they scientifically select
Offers so sweet feathery trace
As you brush little wisps of hair from your face

So nice to see your sunny new times
No more for you a little nursery rhyme
Abandoning game face out on the reef
The younger your mind back on the beach
Time's thief allows this temporary chase
As you brush little wisps of hair from your face

So soft you are you float down under
Radar in your little Birdthunder
Which by the way looks like fun
Having a little here under the sun
Grab a tan understand the nature of race
As you brush those little wisps of hair from your face

Aloha

Aloha!  How did you do?  Have a seat and let's talk a little guitar THEORY. It's true you don't need to touch your guitar with your left hand to play a "chord."  Just strum the open strings and you will have a CHORD.  But remember, sooner or later you will want to play a song. This means you must play a chord that has FUNCTION. You want your chord to painlessly lead you to another chord, and then another until you have your song, This is why we want to start with Fmaj7, the chord the guitar was built to play.
Song for the day:

    It's So Quiet Up There

I looked for the answer, it never came
Then silently swore, who's to blame
I felt the wind, and heard a bouncing balloon
Got here late,but I didn't leave soon

I tried think but then, what about?
That's when the hush of traffic fell, deafening out
A roar of silence rose but, my heart didn't care
I wished I was on a vast beach somewhere

These flowers and toys and color balloons
I  just know they're gonna start, talkin real soon and
Give me the reason for the man in the moon,
Little tot smiles, and little hearts in bloom

Somebody please, somebody somewhere
Feel a little for me and show that you care
Give me an answer, I'll wait right here
It's just that it's just so quiet up there
