Soft Fields of Sod
Influential thoughts stop by of late
Binges singe beyond safety's cool gate
Shadowy prayers offer to be sunnier at heart
To foster a fresher parenting from the start
Entertainment the school asks if anyone is there
As wishful thinkers sink into their daily player
That village feel came long after a lonely birth
Attractions give way to a public wide girth
Is it fair to discount those who attend the fair?
Finding vision's mystery under dirt sod there
Allegations fester in river of grand a riddle
Families cruising grounds for a cake on a griddle
So much to learn with so little change
Seasonal swords aggregate on great plains
Buttered fields out where wavy grains spread
Transformers move slow behind wooden sheds
Soaked in tradition defies all odds
That dirt and dung odd couple of sod
Safe and secure surely opposes scary
People grow up similar also to marry
What does it take to defy the gods?
Strength of conviction as courage plods
Security reigns surefooted to trod
Back to the village onto soft fields of sod
